Go to bed, I'm tired!!

My mom used to say that to me when I was younger. I thought it was a silly statement. If she was tired, why didn't she go to bed.

I never understood it until I became a parent. Now I totally get where she was coming from.

I'm too tired to be a mom right now, go to bed where you can't do any damage to yourself or anyone or anthing around you and let me get some blessed sleep!

    Such fond memories of mom. :)

    In the morning when WE were tired, she would come in singing. "Its time to get up, its time to get up, its time to get up in the morning."

    The only problem with this is we couldn't say go away I'm tired, because dad would come in and bonk us.
