In homage to the month of November, I will be posting Thursday Thirteen’s this month of things I am thankful for.
These lists will delve deep into my thankful pot because I am not going to list the typical: husband, children, God, the internet, parents, friends, job, family, the internet, freedom, liberty, the internet, etc., so consider those already listed.
- refrigeration
- Albertson’s meat department (I can’t imagine having to “get” the meat to that stage on my own. Eeeeewwww)
- washing machines
- computers
- the sound crunchy leaves make
- sunrises
- sunsets
- sunrises the next day (It would suck to be in darkness all the time)
- Birkenstocks
- gravity
- modern plumbing
- Louis Armstrong singing “Wonderful World”
- soft pajamas

Awesome T13 list :) I actually like my silky PJ's :)
ReplyDeletethere's nothing quite like a sunset or a sunrise that lights up the sky with pinks and oranges. I saw a purple sunset once. :)
ReplyDeleteI also love the sound of leaves crunching. Oh, and of walking in snow.
ReplyDeleteSo with ya on crunch leaves, Louie, and soft PJs!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Today, I'm thankful for Excedrine!
ReplyDeleteI lived w/o a fridge once...we kept things in a cooler on the back porch LOL!
ReplyDeletecrunchy leaves yeah!
hmmm...gravity, not so much, now that I'm REALLY old!
i am a freak over soft pajamas! love them! also, love that song. it reminds me of my grandpa who passed away two years ago. he loved that song, we played it at our wedding to remember him. great list! thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThats a great List!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list. Washing machines are a definate too.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wonderful list!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Thursday!
The meat market - what a great thing to be thankful for. I actually became vegetarian for a couple years because I felt like a hypocrite knowing I could never kill and prepare an animal to eat, but was okay buying it prepared at the store. That all ended when I became pregnant the first time and I started craving ribs. Just wanted to tear the meat off the bones with my teeth (I had never even tried ribs before that). I've never gone back to the meatless way of life, so I am also quite glad there are meat departments in grocery stores.
ReplyDeleteWonderful World, is the song I used as a THE lullaby song for my kids. It's such a peaceful song.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!
Great list! Wonderful World is mine and my hubby's song. It is such a beautiful & peaceful song. Happy Thursday and thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteNice list! I never would have thought to include "gravity," but after thinking about it...I'm very thankful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warm and fuzzy feelings today!
Refrigeration, washing machine, computer. I'm with ya.
ReplyDeleteIn the hurricanes of aught four, we were without power for nine days. Twice.
A shower, air conditioning, clean clothes. I appreciate it all much, much more now.
Good thing gravity isn't electic.
Great list. :) Those are all wonderful things. I'm thankful that Birkenstocks are less expensive here in Germany than back home in Canada, so I can stock up while we're here!
ReplyDeleteHappy T13. :)
You have come up with some things I would have never thought to say I am thankful for
ReplyDeleteGravity? Thankful for it in general, but not for what it has done to my body in the long run!
ReplyDelete:) great list.
ReplyDeletehappy T13.
Nicely done! Best wishes from "Birkenstock"-land:
ReplyDeleteSanni [in her soft pajama]
I heart Louis Armstrong. You can't not smile when you see him with his huge grin. And I LOVE that song.
ReplyDeleteI would add rain on a summer's afternoon. That always makes me thankful.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for many things and I have to agree that soft pajamas are on there.
ReplyDeleteOh, I so agree with you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I should do a thankful list, or several.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful world is a nice song, I have a lovely version, I should post it sometime.
Nothin' like refrigerators and washing machines!

Greetings from Germany,
Sonny
sunrises are high up on my list because I get to see them 5 mornings a week at work. Soft pajamas are up there too, because I only get to be at home TWO nights a week to wear mine, so I'm thankful that I have them at that time ;) I better say washing machines too, because I'm sure as heck not washing clothes by hand. Nope. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove your list! Can't imagine life without soft PJ's.
ReplyDeleteI am particularly fond of gravity, myself LOL! Great list and happy TT!
ReplyDeleteOh I remember shopping at Albertson's! Of course I was really more of a Smith's girl myself, but ah those Utah Valley memories. :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh I LOVE this list! Especially number 12! THIS is the kind of Thankful list I enjoy seeing! (i hate those obvious ones!) GOOOOOD JOB! (no matter what Brittany says!)
