New Beginnings

So my 72 year old Dad is getting married.

I am really happy for him. He is marrying a woman that our family has known for years. She lived in our neighborhood growing up. She and her husband were my parents best friends for a long time. They would go camping and do other things together.

Once the decision was made, they decided to get married quickly. Next month. I guess when you are in your 70's and have known each other for over 20 years, why wait? I told my dad he moves pretty quick for an old guy!

Although I am really happy for my Dad, I had to do some fresh crying over my mom. The two things aren't really related, it just made me think about the reason that my dad is able to get married again. She has been gone for 5 years now. I can't believe it has been that long.

I'm happy they will be together and will be able to keep each other from being lonely.

Here's to new beginnings. Cheers Dad!

  2. I cried for an hour. I was glad we heard over the phone instead of live in person. It gave me time to deal with things before I had to talk to anyone.

We're excited to see all of you!

  9. Have you ever realized that when you buy readymade suits you get a choice of only a few colors & styles, also finding the perfect fit are quite difficult? Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.

  12. That is great for your dad. Though I completely understand the feelings regarding your mother.

I am happy that my father remarried as well, but it's bittersweet given that it's just another reminder that my mother passed away. It'll be eight years Nov. 22 . . . it still seems unreal to me sometimes.

But, at least our fathers aren't alone. :o)
